Who We Are and What We Do

Our Mission is to assist low and moderate income families achieve economic self-sufficiency through the development of permanently affordable housing opportunities and associated support programs.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AND ASSET/ PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
Developed:
- 135 permanently affordable apartments
- A 13 unit manufactured housing park in Meredith with  6 rental units and 7 home-ownership units
- 2 permanently affordable homeownership homes: 1 in Tilton; 1 in Laconia
- Co-Developed: 32 permanently affordable family rental units in Belmont
- 28 Units under construction
-135 additional units in our development pipeline
- Apartments rented to low and  moderate income families at below market rates
- Currently housing 336 adults and children;  1,228 people housed to date

NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION AND
         COMMUNITY INVESTMENT 

- $41.8 million in community improvements
-  Land Trust properties = community assets
-  Full real estate taxes paid on all properties as part of our commitment to the communities we serve -$1.45 million  paid to date

      RESIDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
- Resident families benefit from support and referral services offered by our Resident Services Coordinator
- Families increase stability and improve economic self-sufficiency


 TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM
         FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES
- 56 families have participated in our Transitional Shelter Program; many others living in our permanent housing have received transitional services.   

       HOMEBUYER RESOURCE CENTER
- 1,422 people have participated in our FREE financial literacy and first-time homebuyer seminars
-179 known families who participated in our homebuyer seminars have purchased homes representing $26.9 million in home purchases
-  52 homes saved from foreclosure
- 8 low-income families are currently saving for down payments in our IDA Savings Accounts in which their savings are matched 3 to 1.

WHAT IS A COMMUNITY LAND TRUST?
A Community Land Trust provides access to land, housing, and economic opportunities for low and moderate income families.   Land Trusts help communities provide affordable housing, promote resident ownership and control of housing, keep housing affordable for future residents, and make efficient use of public resources for long-term community benefit. Land Trust property is held permanently in trust for the benefit of the community.
